Bring Your Family to Work Day.
Engage | Family & Building Community
"Take care of your employees, and they'll take care of your business." — Richard Branson
Objective
Empower employees to invite their loved ones into the workplace, positioning facilitators as guides to strengthen community bonds, foster belonging, and drive long-term engagement.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Host an interactive "Generations at Work" jobsite showcase where children and family members rotate through interactive trade stations hosted by frontline employees.
• Create a "Family Heritage & Trade Map" on the main office or jobsite wall, allowing workers and visiting families to pin their family origins and trade backgrounds to highlight collective diversity.
• Launch a "Future Builder" storytelling hour where facilitators invite workers' family members to read children's books focused on inclusion, teamwork, and diverse construction careers.
• Coordinate a catered "Family Appreciation Breakfast Stand-Down" on the jobsite featuring localized family recipes and a open-mic segment for workers to introduce their loved ones.
