Empower project teams to unite through shared community service, overcoming workplace silos to build stronger internal bonds and drive collective impact.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Partner with local non-profits during Construction Inclusion Week for a multi-team build or community cleanup day, pairing cross-departmental sub-teams together.
• Organize a "Build-A-Thon" challenge where project groups assemble essential care packages or wooden toys for local shelters while working alongside peers from different departments.
• Host a site-wide "Inter-Project Service Day" where project teams swap jobsites to volunteer together on a shared community improvement project.
• Create a peer-led volunteer competition during company-wide stand-downs, awarding project teams that collaborate across silos to achieve the highest community impact hours.
