Workforce Development

Expanding Access and Opportunity

Labor shortages continue to plague the construction industry, with several key statistics showing how much shortages are leading to inefficiencies such as project delays and even project cancellations in construction. This year, Construction Inclusion Week is dedicated to addressing all these concerns, with our participating companies focusing on "Opening Doors through Workforce Development" to secure the robust talent pipeline needed for a resilient and expanding industry.

Addressing Shortages in Workforce Development

We are committed to reimagining the industry’s approach to talent acquisition, career path development, and retention to ensure construction remains a field of purpose and promise for the next generation of builders.

The demand for skilled craftspeople, engineers, and project leaders far exceeds available talent. To bridge this gap, the entire construction ecosystem must broaden its reach and simplify pathways into the industry. This collective commitment is not just a cultural initiative but it is a vital business imperative. By focusing on practical steps, we ensure that every motivated individual has access to the rewarding careers that construction offers, leading to stronger teams and greater project success.
