Objective
Empower employees and community members to overcome disconnect by guiding them through a collaborative Community Build Day project that transforms shared effort into lasting, meaningful relationships.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Partner with local community organizations to co-design a park restoration or shelter build project, placing construction professionals and local volunteers into joint build teams.
• Host a pre-build "Skill & Story Swap" breakfast where industry workers and community members share trade tips and personal stories before kicking off the project.
• Establish "Peer Pairings" that match employees directly with neighborhood volunteers to complete specific hands-on tasks together throughout the day.
• Conclude the build with a joint dedication ceremony and interactive legacy project, such as a community mural or signed beam, celebrating the collective effort.
