Objective
Empower facilitators to guide young adults through YouthBuild partnerships, transforming local community outreach into clear career pathways and active workforce recruitment.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Host a "Community Trades Fair" during Construction Inclusion Week where local trade unions and contractors set up interactive skill stations for young adults.
• Partner with local YouthBuild chapters to organize job-shadowing days where youth shadow site managers and trade professionals on active job sites.
• Lead student field trips to local major commercial construction projects to demonstrate real-world career opportunities and workplace inclusion in action.
• Co-create a "Youth Trades Council" where participants work alongside regional industry mentors to provide feedback on youth recruitment strategies.
