"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." — Helen Keller
Objective
Empower employees to become the heroes of their local communities by engaging them in Habitat for Humanity volunteer builds, transforming their desire to make a difference into tangible impact while strengthening team unity and driving recruitment efforts.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Partner with local Habitat for Humanity chapters to organize dedicated company-sponsored volunteer build days where staff work alongside future homeowners.
• Set up a "Build-a-Thon" team competition on site to raise donations and materials for affordable housing projects while building camaraderie.
• Organize a youth or student mentoring day during the build, inviting local trade students to learn safety and carpentry basics alongside company volunteers.
• Launch a post-event "Impact Wall" in the office or job site where volunteers post photos and personal reflections on how community service strengthens team culture.
