Objective
Empower employees to overcome workplace silos and build meaningful team connections by guiding them through a hands-on, collaborative birdhouse-building activity that directly supports local charitable causes.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Pair cross-functional field and office staff to assemble birdhouses during a Construction Inclusion Week toolbox talk while discussing strategies to break down daily operational silos.
• Incorporate a "Blueprint of Belonging" design theme where teams paint inclusive symbols and write message cards onto birdhouses before donating them to local community centers.
• Host an interactive jobsite assembly station that invites trade partners and subcontractors to build together, fostering cross-company unity and psychological safety on the site.
