Objective
Empower educators with hands-on industry experience so they can guide their students toward modern career opportunities and strengthen the future talent pipeline.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Partner with local trade partners during Construction Inclusion Week to host 2-week summer site immersions for local STEM and CTE teachers.
• Create a "Shadow a Superintendent" initiative where educators participate in daily jobsite walks, planning sessions, and safety stand-downs.
• Organize post-externship curriculum labs where teachers convert their hands-on construction experience into project-based classroom lessons.
• Host a capstone showcase where teacher externs present emerging industry career pathways to school counselors and district leaders.
