"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." — Franklin D. Roosevelt
Objective
Position our organization as a trusted guide by engaging high school students at career fairs, helping them navigate early career choices and inspiring them to join our talent pipeline.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Set up interactive "Day in the Life" interactive trade stations at high school career fairs where students perform hands-on construction tasks alongside diverse industry mentors.
• Host a "Student-to-Trade" Q\\&A panel featuring recent high school graduates now in apprenticeship programs to share candid insights about navigating early career paths.
• Create a digital photo booth with branded Construction Inclusion Week frames where students take photos committing to a career goal and tag the talent pipeline program.
• Distribute customized "Build Your Future" resource cards featuring QR codes linking directly to local trade apprenticeship applications and youth mentorship sign-ups.
