Site visits focused on listening instead of inspections.

"Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply." — Stephen Covey
Objective
Empower leaders to act as empathetic guides by replacing traditional inspections with active listening site visits, helping teams overcome operational friction and drive collaborative success.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Host "Listening Booth" lunch-and-learns on active job sites where leaders serve meals and focus exclusively on hearing field workers' daily operational challenges.
• Implement a "Swap Roles for a Shift" shadowing initiative, allowing leaders to observe trade crews firsthand and ask open-ended questions about site dynamics.
• Conduct anonymous daily site pulse checks using QR codes on safety hard hats to gather honest feedback on team culture and leadership support.
• Set up peer-led post-project reflection circles designed to discuss what went well emotionally and operationally, replacing traditional fault-finding audits.
