Lean construction challenge.

"The most dangerous kind of waste is the waste we do not recognize." — Shigeo Shingo

Objective

Empower team members to overcome project inefficiencies by guiding them through a hands-on Lean construction challenge, driving innovative solutions that eliminate waste and elevate project delivery.

Facilitation Strategies:

• Set up a hands-on "Waste Audit & Race" on the job site where trade teams compete to identify physical material waste and process bottlenecks, then pitch immediate lean fixes.

• Organize a interactive "Value Stream Mapping Stand-Up" using color-coded cards during daily toolbox talks to map out workflow steps and pinpoint operational delays together.

• Run a "Reverse Shadowing" session pairing trade workers with project managers to experience daily site friction points firsthand and co-create waste-reduction protocols.

• Host a "Kaizen Idea Pitch Contest" with a digital voting board, awarding real-time prizes for the most practical worker-submitted ideas that eliminate rework.
