Objective
Empower leaders to recognize and celebrate team members who champion safety and inclusion, guiding employees to feel valued, protected, and inspired to remain with the organization.
Facilitation Strategies:
• Launch a quarterly peer-nominated award ceremony during site stand-downs to recognize workers who actively intervene in unsafe situations and foster inclusive team environments.
• Distribute customized high-visibility hard hat decals and safety vests emblazoned with "Safety & Inclusion Champion" to award recipients for visible site recognition.
• Create a dedicated "Hall of Champions" photo board at the main job site trailer and digital intranet to showcase winners and their specific contributions.
• Award winners a paid day off or a gift card package presented directly by executive leadership during Construction Inclusion Week events.
