Construction Inclusion Week 2025: Toolbox Talk 5
Building an Inclusive Site Culture

A culture of belonging on site is built by everyone, regardless of their title.
This conversation explores how individuals shape the work environment, whether in the office or on the jobsite. Understanding inclusive culture and the concept of micro-inclusion helps teams see why small, everyday actions matter. Doing so helps you identify specific behaviors that build team morale and a sense of belonging. You'll also learn how recognizing your peers and giving feedback can directly impact performance and help retain great crew members. A positive culture is connected to critical factors like safety, productivity, and retention.

Discussion Questions
Building a great jobsite means more than just using the right materials. It also means building a strong crew. It’s time to focus on the unwritten blueprint for our team. We’ll talk about what a respectful jobsite feels like, how we can make sure everyone feels included and recognized for their work, and how we can all hold each other accountable for building a better culture. Our goal is to create a workplace where every member of the crew feels valued, safe, and ready to get the job done right, every single day.
